I was reviewing the website and I think the most relevant discussion would be population growth. With rapid growth means necessity for more food, water, gas, electricity and many other products. Which at some point, we will have low energy, gas, water crisis' that will devastate the world. Gas is already a non-renewable resource, so we will run out of that eventually. We will have to build more energy plants, eventually there might be so many the end up in neighborhoods. i'm sure living next to a powerplant might give you a touch of cancer...Plus our water supply is getting more and more poluted and we keep treating it with more chemicals. Sometimes we get water shortages as it is. image if the population doubles, triples, etc.... I do think the government needs to regulate the amount of children people can have. I think japan does something like that already. There's no need for 1 couple to have 10 kids. It's ridiculous. I'm sure there are other solutions as well.

i agree with you on the rapid population growth which does mean more food. i also agree that their is no need for a couple to have 10 kids
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the population growth as well but who puts a limit on how many kids we can have. Would we choose abortion if someone became pregnant even though they crossed that line? Its a hard decision for one to make. Sometimes birth control does not always work and should we end a life just because we are afraid to be overpopulated?
ReplyDeleteI definitely do think that population growth is excessive; its no longer a real necessity. I think the problem is that in most places of the world there are less children being born becuase most people are in the workforce and it makes it difficult to have a family. The problem is also that there are many people that are old and still around. Take China for instance, the amount of babies being born in comparison to people dying is unbalanced. There are few being born and few dying. For other parts in the world were too many babies are being born like in India, a solution could be to educate the people as to why they must control how many children they reproduce. The only problem is, is that everyonw in the world has different beliefs (religious, spiritual, etc.) and that's the challenge with getting everyone to see the big picture.
